Craig Lloyd (1948-2025), a 2015 South Dakota Hall of Fame Inductee, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Craig was a distinguished South Dakota historian and businessman. He served as Chairman and CEO of Lloyd Companies, a development, construction, and property management firm based in Sioux Falls. Under his leadership, the company expanded significantly, contributing to the growth and transformation of numerous communities throughout the region.
Craig graduated from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Business Administration. He began his real estate career in the 1970s and quickly became a leading force in the industry. His commitment to quality developments and strategic planning helped shape South Dakota's commercial and residential landscape.
Beyond his business success, Craig was deeply involved in civic and philanthropic efforts. He supported various organizations, including affordable housing initiatives, educational programs, and economic development projects, all of which earned him widespread recognition.
Throughout his life, Craig remained dedicated to fostering strong communities and creating opportunities for future generations. His legacy continues to influence South Dakota's economic and social development.
